About CDA Research
CDA Research is a research arm of the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) with a public health research function and comprises 3 divisions:
Research Coordination and Administration (RCA)
Singapore Infectious Disease Clinical Research Network (SCRN)
CDA Research Laboratory (CRL)
In addition, CDA Research hosts CDA Research Cores as well as 2 National Programmes:
Programme for Research in Epidemic Preparedness and Response (PREPARE)
Pathogen/Pathway to Vaccine Development to Enhance Singapore’s Pandemic Resilience (PrepVax)
Objectives of CDA Research
The objectives of CDA Research are to:
Support communicable disease programmes with state-of-the-art research to drive policy decisions;
Establish and sustain core outbreak research capabilities to generate evidence to guide policy decisions and evidence-based practice in major outbreaks and a pandemic;
Establish and sustain core national capabilities in infectious disease research in endemic infectious diseases;
Establish and sustain collaborative national infectious disease research programmes with NCID as strategic outbreak research partner; and
Engage strategic international partners in research collaborations.
