About the Communicable Diseases Agency
The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA), established in April 2025, is Singapore’s public health authority dedicated to safeguarding the nation from communicable diseases. The CDA’s mission focuses on preventing, preparing for, detecting, and managing infectious diseases through comprehensive policy development, robust disease surveillance and response systems, strategic research and advanced laboratory capabilities. Recognising that combating communicable diseases is a shared responsibility, the CDA actively engages in public education and forges local, regional and international partnerships to enhance collective resilience and ensure swift, coordinated responses to disease threats. With its expertise and commitment, the CDA protects Singapore from current and future communicable disease challenges.
